Our Mission & Content Philosophy
We provide online health solutions, general health information, product reviews, buying guides, specifications, personalized recommendations, and e‑commerce purchasing information (prices, availability, referral links). Our audience includes consumers and healthcare professionals.
All content on our website is either:
- Originally created by our team or contributors, or
- Lawfully licensed from third parties, or
- Sourced from free / public domain repositories, or
- Reworked, adapted, or transformed from publicly available materials in accordance with applicable copyright exceptions (e.g., for commentary, analysis, or factual compilation).
We do not simply copy or republish others’ work. Any adaptation is done to create new value, new insights, or a different presentation. We respect intellectual property rights and expect others to respect ours.
Graphics & Data Visualisations
We use authoritative sources only. We do not project, guess, or fabricate data. Charts and graphs accurately represent underlying data without distortion or manipulation.
Images
All images on our website are either:
- 100% licensed from stock or rights‑managed sources,
- Owned by our contributors (photographers / graphic designers),
- Sourced from free / Creative Commons Zero (CC0) repositories, or
- Used under a valid exception (e.g., fair practice for criticism or review).
Images are not digitally altered in a way that misrepresents the original subject. All rights in licensed images are protected by international copyright laws.
Obscenities & Offensive Language
We do not use obscenities, racial epithets, or other offensive slurs.
Originality & Use of Third‑Party Materials
Our writers produce 100% original language and phrasing for any narrative, opinion, or analysis. When we reference facts, data, or ideas from other sources (including Russian or other former Soviet‑region specialists), we either:
- Rewrite and restructure the information completely, adding new commentary or analysis, or
- Quote brief excerpts under applicable quotation rights, with proper attribution, or
- Use such materials as a basis for independent research and presentation.
We do not plagiarise – we do not take another’s original expression and pass it off as our own.
Reporting Copyright Infringement (For Rights Holders)
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. It is our policy to respond to legitimate claims of copyright infringement relating to content posted on our service, in accordance with Swedish law and the EU Copyright Directive.
If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act on behalf of one) and you genuinely believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes infringement under Swedish / EU law, please submit a written notice to:
Copyright Infringement
[email protected]
Your notice must include:
- A detailed description of the allegedly infringing material and its location on our site.
- Sufficient information to identify the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Important: You may be held liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) if you materially misrepresent that content or a link is infringing your copyright.
Our Policy Regarding DMCA‑Style Takedown Notices
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States law. Our website is operated from Sweden, and our servers are located in Sweden. We are not a US entity and do not fall under US jurisdiction.
Nevertheless, we will review any notice that claims copyright infringement, regardless of its origin. However:
- We apply Swedish law and EU copyright directives, not the DMCA.
- We will not remove content solely because a DMCA takedown notice is sent to us or our hosting provider.
- The requesting party must establish a valid legal basis under Swedish / EU law, including demonstrating that the use is not permitted by an exception (e.g., quotation, criticism, parody, or transformative adaptation).
- We consider fair use / fair dealing principles as they exist under EU law (e.g., quotation right, illustration for teaching or research, incidental inclusion).
If you submit a notice that does not comply with Swedish legal requirements, or if you threaten legal action without a good‑faith basis, we will treat such conduct as an abuse of process. We reserve the right to seek damages for any loss caused by fraudulent or bad‑faith takedown requests.
Financial Interests & Conflicts of Interest
Employees or contributors who write about business, finance, or products must disclose any material connection to a product manufacturer, supplier, or service provider. Such connections will be noted clearly on the relevant content.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms, the use of our site, or the purchase of any products or services offered through the site shall be governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
Specifically, the validity, interpretation, and performance of these terms and all policies shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Sweden.
